Your canine is sure to love these homemade dog cookies made with wholesome ingredients like peanut butter and oatmeal.

Ingredients & Supplies

  • 1 cup whole wheat flour

  • 1/2 cup almond flour

  • 1/4 cup oatmeal

  • 1 teaspoon baking soda

  • 1/4 cup coconut oil

  • 1/2 cup beef broth

  • 1 egg

  • 1/2 cup peanut butter (make sure PB is xylitol free)

  • 1/3 cup shredded cheese

  • Bone Cookie Cutter

  • Baking sheet

  • Parchment paper

  • Rolling pin

Directions

In a large bowl, add wheat flour, almond flour, oatmeal and baking soda.

Add coconut oil, beef broth and egg.

Add peanut butter

Add cheese.

Mix slowly until all ingredients are well combined. If the mixture is too dry, add a bit more beef broth. If the mixture is too wet, add a bit more wheat flour. You want a mixture you can roll out and use the cookie cutter on.

Put down a piece of parchment paper with a dusting of whole wheat flour. Once your mixture is fully incorporated, transfer it onto the parchment paper. Then put another piece of parchment paper on top and roll out the dough until thin enough to use your cookie cutter. You can roll out your dough with a rolling pin, or a recycled bottle.

Cut your dough with the cookie cutter and place on a baking sheet lined with a baking mat or parchment paper. Bake at 350 for 10-12 minutes

Allow to fully cool before serving. You can choose to decorate these cookies with yogurt and bacon bits sprinkled on top, if you choose to decorate place the treats in the freezer to harden the yogurt.
